KEY FARM AND GREENHOUSE

MOUNT VERNON, OR 97865
PH1: 541-932-2874
At key Farm Darlene grows a variety of vegetable plant starts in her greenhouse. The selection includes squashes, cucumbers, cabbage, peppers, basil, and a large variety of tomatoes. Darlene has several varieties of heirloom tomato plants including some that do especially well in extremely hot and cold temperatures, making them a good fit for our climate, Call Darlene to visit the greenhouse and for more information.

Key Farm also holistically raises Navajo-Churro lambs, which are prized for their lean and flavorful meat. These sheep also produce a dual fiber fleece that is coveted by weavers for its natural variety of colors. There are several organizations including Slow Food who are advocating the breeding of these sheep for meat and other purposes given their low impact on the land and the fact that they are an endangered breed in North America.

If you are interested in buying a whole lamb from Key Farm please get in touch with Darlene before July.
